The house.

So today JJ said that the house was all fixed! The water leak that wasn't even bothering us, but which made the front sidewalk a marsh, was fixed, the pilot light was back on the water heater, the fleas appear to be down to the last gasp (I found one yesterday, but just one.) and we're steadily killing the few that remain (flea trap, works great!) The kitchen lights work, we have a new fridge, and everything but the bad paint job has been taken care of.

Immediately after saying this, he got into the shower.

And the inside of the shower head came off.

The house apparently hates us, but with the major problems gone, it is reduced to tiny acts of petty vindictiveness. *giggles*

*laughs*

It really is a shame that this is a rental, otherwise I'd have so much fun fixing it up.

N) How does a flea trap work?

It's actually kind of a generic bug trap, but as we haven't got any other bugs in here, really, fleas are what it catches. You get a silvered pie tin, and a desk lamp or other spotlight-type small light. Fill the tin halfway up with soapy water, position the light to shine directly down on it, leave it overnight. In the morning any bugs in the room will have been drawn to the light and drowned.

N) Ahh. Makes sense--now, if it worked with winged insects... *ponders possible adaptation with lamp and flypaper*
